I am Lisa J. Latouche, an award winning creative, academic and professional writer, with extensive experience in customer service, sales and marketing.

It took me over twenty years to realize that my knack for writing could be a gift. I am delighted to use this space to share my personal reflections, stories and services with you!

Life experiences shape my writing and I draw inspiration from my Caribbean upbringing, leaning on memories that both sustain and haunt me. I examine the complexities and ease of island life in my work through relationships, history and identity. Hopefully, these can create a rich and engaging reading experience for you!

The Nature Island of the Caribbean, Dominica, is my heart. It is where I was born and nurtured, and it is there that I developed a love for reading and writing. This was largely sparked by my mother’s influence and her insistence that I read every day.

It is important to me to seek pathways that foster learning and critical thinking. Self-motivated, I possess an indomitable will to persevere, and inspire those around me to overcome challenges and maximize output. I do so through teaching/coaching and participating in activities that foster growth and literacy. I hold an Executive Diploma in Management from the University of Leicester and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Maryland, College Park.
